Welcome baby Preston! Tiny baby, tiny ears and tiny toes! Baby boy was born early and spent several nights in the NICU before he could go home with his parents and older brother. They were a dream to have in my studio, and big brother was such a handsome character to photograph. Preston did so well, he hardly woke as we positioned him into place. We were able to do a complete gallery of family, sibling and brother images.
How to Survive The NICU
New parents eagerly look forward to bringing their new baby home, so of course it can be disheartening to find mom’s been discharged while baby is still in the intensive care unit. At first it may seem like a scary place with machines beeping and nurses running around, but you’ll find they’re the only ones just as excited as you are to hear your baby had a bowl movement. Get to know that Doctors and Nurses that spend time with your little one and familiarize yourself with the medical jargon they might throw your way. You’ll also want to take this time to bond with your baby, and if the hospital allows it, even bring pictures and their own swaddling blanket to make it more like home. Remember that it’s only temporary, and when your little fighter finally gets to wear that “going home” outfit, it’ll be that much sweeter.
